You will see postings of my current and past work on this blog. I once did daily paintings to refine my skills for larger paintings. Beginning in Oct. , 2008 I attended the Jeff Hein Academy in Salt Lake City to refine my basic skills in drawing, value, and painting. After learning a lot, I left the academy in 2011. I returned to the academy for three months in 2015 to focus on portraiture. I am now back to doing original work in my studio. Thanks for visiting!

First painting since leaving Hein Academy

The Conversation, 2012

This painting, a multi-panel oil painting on wood panels, measures about 46" X 46". This is the first serious painting completed since leaving the Jeff Hein Academy in May of 2011 and since our return to Salt Lake City last October. Next projects will be smaller and thus should come out of the studio a little faster!
